Construction progress monitoring with repeat flights and dated deliverables — FAE Drones
Visual monitoring for construction

Construction progress monitoring with repeat flights and dated deliverables

We establish an initial capture and repeat flights using the agreed geometry so the team can visually compare documented stages. Frequency and outputs are defined per project, taking account of the site, weather, access and the decisions the records must support.

Shared baseline

Start with a clearly documented initial condition

The first mission defines the area, capture positions and intended visual result. On subsequent flights we preserve the agreed geometry and parameters as far as operating conditions allow.

Oblique photographs, an orthomosaic, a point cloud or a 3D model are included only when requested and feasible. Every set is labelled with its capture date; visual documentation is not presented as automatic certification of the works.

LiDAR as an alternative or complement

FAE offers LiDAR scanning and combined photogrammetry + LiDAR projects

FAE provides airborne LiDAR scanning for terrain, vegetation, corridors, infrastructure and classified point clouds. When a project combines photogrammetry and LiDAR, we assess the site, geodetic control and deliverables as one coordinated scope; full LiDAR technical details are available on Discover LIDAR.

Comparison over time

The same areas can be reviewed in a common context

Dated series help the client, contractor and designer review visible changes between stages. The presentation is agreed before the first repeat: galleries, boards, orthomosaics or a 3D viewer when appropriate.

Measurements, volumes or quantitative validation require dedicated control and specifications; they are not universally inferred from imagery alone.

Project conditions

The programme follows the reality of an active site

Weather, access, moving equipment, occlusions and airspace restrictions can change the day or configuration of a mission. We confirm each operational window and identify material differences between captures.

Send the site boundary and the stages you want documented. The instant quote is a starting point; the repeat programme is confirmed after project review.

Upload the KML/KMZ file and describe the required outcome. If not all technical requirements are defined, we will set them together before confirmation.
